Nvidia Pumps $2B into Coherent to Power Next-Gen AI Data Centers

Nvidia has announced a multiyear strategic partnership with Coherent, investing $2 billion to advance optics technologies critical for next-generation AI data centers. The nonexclusive deal includes a multibillion-dollar purchase commitment from Nvidia for Coherent's advanced laser and optical networking products, granting future access and capacity rights. This builds on a 20-year relationship, focusing on silicon photonics, optical interconnects, and advanced package integration to deliver ultrahigh-bandwidth, energy-efficient connectivity for AI factories.
